HELP! We have to get out of here!
This is based on a book we’ve read: Esperanza Rising. This is related to the part when she has to leave her house in Mexico forever, because of her evil uncles. We decided to think about it for a moment. What would we take and why! We then also posted it on our own blog after school.
If I had to leave my house forever I would definitely grab my photo books first, it’s like my diary in pictures!
I would grab my photo books because it reminds me of my past, the people I knew and the things I have experienced. e.g. How my friends look, The first time I went to the Eiffel tower, the first time I went on the plane, all those family holidays together.
But mostly it’s just a reminder of what has happened in my whole life. If I didn’t have those photo’s I would not be able to talk in detail about what has happened in my past. I would remember my best day ever, when I first moved, the most embarrassing thing, etc. But I wouldn’t be able to remember all my birthday’s,friends, people and things that I have done or have been given to me!
A specific picture I will always need with me is the one of me and my brother. When the picture was taken we where very little. We both look so cute and happy. It reminds me that when I was small I was never woried and thought I would live happily ever after. It also shows how much i’ve changed and grown in all those years.
Think about it for a moment! You have to leave your house ,city forever would you just go away without taking anything, or try to bring something with you? what? why?

I love how you describe your photos as a diary in pictures. I feel the same way about my photos. Do you have any specific photographs that you hold dear?
Are there other ways to document our memories? Perhaps using stories, poems, paintings etc….
Nice job asking questions at the end of your blog. I would take my guitar, my laptop, and my journals. I’ll tell you the reasons at another time, I have 30 more blog posts to read and comment on.
You are doing a great job. Keep it up!
